True but it was a guarantee that Love was leaving. There's a chance with Young if they can prove they are on an upswing and if Wiggins turns out to be very good.

How is this improvement over Carroll? Maybe defensively

Don't think its neccesarily an improvement but it helps with depth and is also good defender like you said. Anytime Carroll was out last year or in foul trouble we really struggled. Besides Carroll and Korver we had really really short guards. I also like the Bazemore signing. Obviously would like someone more high profile but for the money has pretty good upside.

Him and *gasp* Harden. That's troublesome. Kinda reminding me of 2010(?) when they were relying on unproven young vets and came up short. No one on the roster has done anything in the playoffs and several of the lead guys haven't even been to the playoffs.

What happens if/when they face Spain in the gold medal game? Spain is relying on a frontcourt (Gasol x2 and Ibaka) that's better than anything the US can put out there. Plus they have several NBA vets at guard (Fernandez, Navarro, Calderon and Rubio) who'll be solid enough to present a challenge. If I had to pick I'd say Spain wins that game, especially at home.

The US is blowing people out but have shot poorly from 3 and the FT line (I'm sure Plumlee over Korver/Parsons and Irving over Lillard are helping there). If they are in any close games it's not automatic that they'll pull it out.

People need to understand what the meaning of the term "racist" is. Based on what I heard, it may have been inappropriate and even prejudicial, but it wasn't racist. I didn't read the email, so I can't be sure.

Okay,

I read the email. Although he doesn't necessarily make any racist remarks, per se, he does show a great deal of prejudice and insensitivity. His comments are insulting to both the white and black communities of Atlanta and are stereotyping. His comments are indicative of what you would hear from the mouth of a racist, so I amend my previous comment.

I think these were insensitive, inflammatory comments from either a very ignorant person (unlikely) or someone with at least racist tendancies. If that was sent to me, I'd think the guy a bigot.
