I'll bite and be that guy. I'd rather beat UGA. I don't think the UGA game makes or breaks a season, but it definitely weighs about the same as two games in my opinion. Also, I think it would be a good for the program's psyche to be 1-0 against Kirby.

What if the bowl game was the Independence Bowl vs UGA?

The likelihood of that happening is probably less than 1% considering bowls don't like rematches (unless it happens in the playoffs/national championships) and they would have been our last game of the season.

An interesting matchup, however, would be....wait for it...Stanford. Their record is about equal to ours (7-3), and if we can win out it would be a compelling matchup of "elite academic" schools. Plus that whole "why can't we recruit like Stanford" thing no one hardly talks about....
