I’m not really talking about this year. Just in general. And yes we beat the no4 team in the country. Just like we beat the no 10 team in the first game. You are what people perceive you at that time. Even if it’s not reality.
Eye ball test
FSU fired oc and dc. Thier stupid utm game plan for Gt was based on them thinking they were great and we sucked. MIA was unable to adjust to our wierd offense, because our defense line and lb played like violent angry men.
Key trusts our oc who trusts the back players too.
Key trusts our ðc who has the d playing aggressive.
Out OT are playing very well in run and pass - 54 acc linemen of week looks so agile - 77 has been good for him. We have te and a freshmen og that can block in space.
KING is a warrior and is getting better as bowl approaches
Ranking
DANGEROUS AND IMPROVING.

I maintain that F$U was a pretty good team when we played them, but their psyche was very fragile. We broke them and they have tailspun downward all year.

Maintaining this approach kind of gives me satisfaction of doing similar things to a “fragile” Tech team back in 1992.

As they say, “Revenge is best served cold.”

Did this message board exist in 2005? This subject of this thread should be almost 20 years old. When we beat them in Coral Gables Nov-05, they’ve never been the same.

They were just starting to reemerge last season until we beat them. And then 2024 is 2005 all over again.

F$U, we forget, had a bye week after the loss to us. They had to sit and stew over it. Rather than get back to work, they sobbed and asked for company in their pitty party, and they got it.

You know you have a point there about 2005….

FSU's biggest problems are they went all in on a mediocre QB and went back to the days of the Jimbo O line.
That's why they have 14 touchdowns - as a team - this year.
If I'm Norvell, I make a big run at Castellanos, who is portaling out of BC. The Kromenhoek kid hasn't been bad, but everyone else around him stinks so much, particularly that line and their drop-happy receivers, he's getting no help.
Wonder if Kam Davis will find the out door too. That kid is going to be electric somewhere for somebody if he does bail on FSU. Saw him in high school against other four-star kids and he was leaving them in his vapor trail.

Miami ... I don't know. It just looked like Ward seemed disinterested in the first half. Made some really strange throws for a kid with all his experience and talent. Then he woke up in the second half and by that time, it was too late. And he never, ever looked to run. He had gobs of running room if he wanted to tuck and run anytime he chose to do so. But he didn't. And the few times we brought pressure, especially the two-point play and the last play, just seemed to befuddle him.

DJ is no world beater, but I don't hang this on him. F$U did this to themselves: Way too many non-bought-in transfers, team quit on 2024 Orange Bowl, admin sues ACC for departure... They killed the heart of their program.

Yes. DJ is not a world beater, but he was pretty good out at OSU. He can lead a team to victory, if the team cares about that at all. I htink FSU's problem is that so many of its players are transfers. They came to FSU for coverage and NIL, not because they cared even a little tiny bit for FSU. Most of the ones who are touted as future NFL players are still that and there's no reason why they should risk injury or, really, anything else to help FSU win. So they don't and the rest of the team follows their example.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch, imho.
