Agree we are in a slump / swoon and have no idea how long it will last. I think the team and coaches are doing everything they can to get back to where we were and may be over-trying. There is little we as fans can do about it except accept that it's baseball and get over it.

Just win today.
Exactly.

These dips/slumps are inevitable especially in the sport of baseball.

Flush the last three games. Just win today.

Team is in a great position to host.

The slumps are inevitable. That doesn't mean I don't get pissed and salty at times. But like playing poker, have to put up with the bad variance to go along with the good. We won some close games this year where the other team had many more LOB / lower WHIP. At least Amstel Gold race is on (free in Australia).

GtNavy,

I completely get it.

I'm definitely optimistic but that's not to discount how ticked off and frustrating watching the last three games has been.
I simply had to step away yesterday and take my kids to the movies cause the tv may have had an early trash exit :)

It was a good thing that the tech fans were on the 3b side as I was chippy Tuesday night.

I can't or won't let three poor performing games override an otherwise outstanding season.
With Uva, Duke, and Louisville all coming up (All likely to make the tournament), the team has a chance to secure not only a host site but a possible national seed.

For this deep into the season, couldn't ask for much more.

We have flaws but so does every other team out there.

Biggest thing is just avoid the sweep. Hitting is contagious so we need someone to rally the troops today.

Only positive thing is we haven't had to use the pen much this weekend including Paden or Patel so we should be ready to go today.

Maybe I’m not recalling correctly, as I was listening, but really not that interested the last three innings, but I believe we ended the 7th, 8th, and 9th by hitting into double plays. Miami had turned 20 DPs in 40 games coming into the game. Just shows how random baseball is.

They've made some really good defensive plays.

Just need to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. It's the mark of a good team.

I know 1-2 on the road to da U is disappointing, but 1-2 needs to be our target. I'm heading out after a brief stop for breakfast. Gotta chance to see a game in person and I'm taking it.

No words.

I'm an eternal optimist but that was brutal to watch. I tuned out after the 4th as I fully expected the team to get run ruled.

Miami was jacked for the series and we looked like we were simply going through the motions. That is fully on coaching.
The ab's in this series were weak and the worst I've seen in years.

On the outside looking in for a host site. Team will need to re earn it but this team has a really rough week ahead if they can't find a way to hit again with Auburn and the wahoos on the horizon.

Getting swept is fine. Getting trucked is a whole different category.

We haven’t really hit the ball well since Saturday against Cal so roughly 5 games our at bats look pathetic.

Must not watch much baseball..
Completely agree.

Ugag looked lost in Nashville. Got swept for the second time in 3 weekends.

These stretches happen but where was the fire and the coaching to get them out of this funk. Bunt the ball if you have to get out of a funk. Swinging from their shoe laces most of the weekend.

Miami's pitching absolutely used our aggression against us.

Again, it's okay getting swept but getting crushed while looking like they didn't want to be there is what is really frustrating.

That sweep dropped the rpi down 13 pts to 26.

They can ill afford a long losing streak, so this turnaround needs to happen asap.

FSU was dismantled by Wake about 3 weeks ago. Run ruled twice

Its okay getting swept but this started Tuesday against the mutts. Fsu had a bad weekend but came right back after getting swept.
Team has Auburn on Tuesday. Better be ready cause they got swept against the longhorns and will be ready to go. Hopefully we will be ready but uva is loaded with talent and that series could really bad if things don't get turned around soon.

If tech wants to host, they will likely need to go 3-1 this week.

4-0 is needed after this sweep IMO. Unless Miami goes on an absolute tear and doesn’t make this look as bad as it currently is

Would agree if the loss comes against Auburn; however, if the team goes 3-1 by taking series against the wahoos and beating #4 rpi Auburn on the road, I think that'll go a long way to help.

The team will still need to win the final three remaining acc series imo to secure that host site.

Miami was a preseason top 15 team based on talent and expectation. They are now up to 36 in rpi and likely no longer on the bubble. I think they are in as long as they continue to win.

When tech swept Cal to go 14-4, many just brushed off miami cause of how their season was going but I had a bad feeling going in. I did predict two wins for tech but was close to going with one. I never expected what took place in Coral Gables though.

Tech is 14-7 in the acc. 9 games remaining. They will need to go 6-3 minimum and make a run in the tournament.
Need to win all remaining midweek games. Coach better manage midweek like it matters cause it sure as heck does now after this sweep.

Margin for error is completely gone now.
