This dude is 6 hits shy of 300 career hits. I would LOVE to see him reach it. That means I would LOVE to see him leading off the rest of our games...maximize his opportunity to get to 300.

Shoot holes in that idea. Would it in any way negatively impact our offense or chances to win?

Leading off and being in the 3 or 4 hole doesn't differ too much in the number of at bats a player gets. I'm for anything that might get the team jump started. Justice has done a good job setting up the table this year. Bats have to be alive for us to have a chance.

Gonzo has been a bright spot for the last four years. I remember when he broke (tic) onto the scene as "Speedy Gonzalez" with his steals. (He is in the 81st percentile for speed of course.) Hopefully he'll get his 11th steal this year and break his previous record. He'll be missed next year. Look at how his hitting performance has improved over the years ....... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=matt-gonzalez

Matt is a very good player. Hoping he gets at least 6 more hits before his college career is over.

Have meet and talked with Matt several times over the years. Hoping he gets drafted by a team that will get him in the Major's the soonest.

300 hits in 4 years, 75 per year at a time when the team plays 65-70 games. Just a tremendous accomplishment given how the bats themselves have been tamed! I'll be watching to see him get#300!

That dude is flat out raking! I expect a hit every time he comes up. Hoping for a miracle that we can put some big innings together against the gators. Would love for Matt and the jackets to make a series!
