To be honest, always respected Richt even if he did let his players act out sometimes. He was a great coach at UGA no way around it, was done dirty by the athletics department.

Richt, a UM alum, got his first big coaching opportunity as an OC at FSU and made a name for himself there. I think after that experience, he’s probably a lot less dogmatic about other team’s colors than most coaches
