I would say play him if he’s at least 85%. I’d rather give Miami a good game than play a low level bowl where part of the team doesn’t play. Most bowls are meaningless especially now since playoffs have expanded.

I hear you, but I simply cannot see most GT fans preferring a good L against Miami to a bowl game. A bowl game is an ingrained metric for success that has not gone away regardless of the proliferation of bowl games.

Guys this is a moving up week for gt. Duke just beat fsu with good defense. We beat duke soundly - but duke has good db. Duke plays Mia - cam needs stats so he will pass - interceptions are gojng to happen.
This week FSU awakens and Mia begins thier swoon. Clemson wins out.

Next week King will be fine, key will call fewer mini slog plays to the sideline and way more downfield plays. Then, when safeties back off, we will run the ball or mini sideline slog plays that BURN CLOCK AFTER WE ARE AHEAD.

Assuming we lose to Miami is a defeatist attitude. They are in a tight game with Duke right now. We can beat them. Don’t “save” anyone for NC State

Assuming a win or loss in most any college game is a dicey proposition. Tech could well beat Miami and lose to NC State.
Miami looks beatable, but their O is for real. Dook has a good D and they are shredding it. Dook is holding their own, so Miami’s D is beatable, but we’re likely going to have to score some points. It will require King at peak to me. But, it’s football, so who knows?

As a middle school QB, I broke two adjacent fingers on my throwing hand. The orthopedist had me bring a football to his office so he could form a brace for my fingers so I could hold the ball. It worked out well that season, but I still have the healed, but deformed fingers as a reminder more than five decades later…

What exactly looks beatable against a team that seems to score at will as needed to win games. They hung 53 on Duke. In one of our better offensive games we scored 24 against Duke. Miami's defense is average. Our offense is currently comatose. We need King and Haynes healthy playing well and much better play from the OL and receivers.

Guess we will see if our defense has improved

Well FSU held them to 36, VT held them to 38 and Cal held them to 39. Fla held them to 41 and they scored over 50 in four games and over 60 in one game. So holding them to 35 would be a Great game for our defense.

Our offense is broken currently. Can it be healed by next Saturday? And if our players are healthy enough to play can they be at their best? Sure hope they are as they will need to be for GT to have a chance.

It’s very hard to go undefeated in college football. VERY HARD. Miami’s defense is too bad for them to end the season undefeated. So who is going to beat them? It’s us, Wake, or Cuse. Two of those seem feasible and one seems unlikely. Night game at Bobby Dodd with a healthy team and I like our chances. Magic seems to happen on that field at night…let’s get everyone back and see what happens. Go Jackets!

Unless our team plays its best game of the season in every phase - by far - I fear we are going to lose by a wide margin versus Miami.
