The lesson is to keep the pressure on. Johnson kept beating the drum about teams with bye weeks, and they finally changed the rule. I’m personally not crazy about night games, but I’ll take this one.

We played Virginia Tech In 2009 at 6:00 PM. That was awesome. Play well the next two weeks and make the Clemson game a big game.

I'll be in the vast minority. But a night game knocks me out of being able to stay over in Atlanta and get to a game. I'll be in town Thursday and Friday, but will now have to book tix to get me home in time to watch it on TV. On the upside, @MrsDrJacket will be able to stay over and go to the game with MrsCPJ.

My Sunday a.m. commitments up here in VA make it impossible.

Color me bummed. I've had this one circled on my calendar for months. Marking through it now.

It's funny, we complain about having too many early games and never making it into the afternoon/evening slots. Washington is in a spat with ESPN right now because they want more exposure than the west coast night slot is giving them.

I side with U Dub on this one. I’m tired of watching two pathetic SEC teams compete for who is coached worse when I could be watching a top 5 Washington team face decent PAC 12 competition, geography be damned.

First, you're right. No one wants to keep watching Florida play ... like, at all. There're about 8-9 teams in that league who could fire their coach right now and have legit reasons for doing so due to inept play.

The problem though is the awful TV deal the PAC10 has. IIRC or if I heard the guy on the radio explain it correctly, PAC schools can have a game at 11am (pacific time) but it has to be on the PAC10 Network which no one carries. So even if they do have a marquee matchup in that time slot, no one will see it anyway.
