Justin Moore Officially...

Not a surprise. Feel bad for the guy, but he should be able to play immediately next fall for wherever he goes since he hasn't played in Calendar 2018.

I hope he can charge his playing career again and he also needs to charge his phone.

He seems like a very supportive teammate. Good luck to the kid; I was hoping when he signed that he'd have a little erratic, unconventional Jarrett Jack to his game, but never panned out. I predicted in January he'd end up at San Diego State or U of San Diego — I'm sticking with it!

I'm really rooting for this kid to have a successful 2nd stop. Was a team player when he really didn't have to be.

Wish it could've worked out here.

This.

From IG and social media he looks like a beloved member of this squad. Whether it was playing time or academics I’m sure it was a difficult decision. Wish nothing but the best for this kid.

"he played 47 minutes in the first two games, scoring three points on 1-for-11 shooting, then sat out the next two games with an NCAA suspension. He played in six of the next seven games, including a seven-assist, zero-turnover performance in Tech’s loss to Grambling State.

He did not play for the remainder of the season and sometimes did not travel with the team for road games for academic reasons. At the time of point guard Jose Alvarado’s season-ending elbow fracture, coach Josh Pastner said he would not go in Moore’s direction as a replacement, but did not explain his rationale beyond saying that it was “nothing personal against Justin.”

My guess is CJP did that to allow Moore to be able to play late December 2018 for his new team. Class move by coach if that is the case.

After his #metoo questions to CPast when he was addressing the false allegations, it's looking like he's trying to prove to someone he's a "real" "journalist".

It happens...

"Georgia Tech sophomore guard Justin Moore said he wants to transfer to a school closer to home and is not leaving because of his reduced playing time.

“I’ve gone through a lot the last two years,” Moore told the AJC. “It’s been a long two years.”

But Moore, from San Diego, said he was depressed being away from home. It didn’t help, he said, that former Tech assistant coach Darryl LaBarrie was not with the team this season. "

Whew. I'm glad he isn't transferring because we recruited over him. Same with Matthews. And Brown.

When it happens anywhere else, this board lights up with comments that slam the kid for being stupid to go to school X and the coach at school X for "recruiting over him"

In psych, it's called the Fundamental Attribution Error

I mean, we did recruit over him. It's just not the (public) reason he's leaving.
