Since those are prime numbers (not in a mathematical sense, but in that they are below 20) I think upper classmen will get first dibs at those.Since we're on the subject of jersey #s who do you guys think get some of the other vacated jerseys like 1, 7, 10, 15 etc?
There might have been a reason but I missed it. Anybody know why he transferred?I'm excited to see what he will do against the Dwags!

Thanks. If he wants to play offense, he came to the right place because there is plenty of it. I still marvel at the ability of the coaching staff to recruit and coach players to be so team-oriented, to know there are so many A backs and so many options it may be a couple of games of blocking before they ever touch the ball.
I think our guys recruit well, certainly enough to be marveled at, but don't underestimate the fun factor of this offense to players. Personally, I think it would be a blast to be an AB in this offense. If I was young enough, I would love to be out there dumping people on their heads. Think about it. On many plays, defenders don't really know if an approaching AB is a blocker or a receiver. That makes it extremely tough for them and fun for us. ABs may not get the volume of touches, but when they do get them, they usually get a lot more space to operate, often with only one man to beat, than the conventional backs do.Thanks. Gantt and JJ will be one hell of a tandem in 2016.Xavier Gantt said very similar stuff to that boomer
I was just about to ask who Xavier Gantt was and decided to look at the recruiting page first to check, and there he was. He must be a smart young man.Xavier Gantt said very similar stuff to that boomer
There were a couple of blocks in the Orange Bowl -- names of the blockers and runners escape me -- caught by the overhead camera from behind the backfield that were amazing to me. Don't know what the plays were -- to me they were jailbreaks -- the right AB in quick motion but wheels right to follow the BB into the hole behind Mason, into the second level and flattens a DB, takes him off his feet, while Thomas handed off to the left AB turning in right behind him for big gains. The timing and execution of the plays almost made me forget the purpose was to gain yards. I can see an A back getting puffed up after that. I'm guessing that piece of film will be on a recruiting DVD?I think our guys recruit well, certainly enough to be marveled at, but don't underestimate the fun factor of this offense to players.
