Whew! I hope that sticks. We could have a really good defensive backfield next year with White, Milton, Golden and others returning.

At end of next year with a better DL and a more agressive defense, his contribution will be visible to all. Big things are on the way for this young man.

Good Decision. No reason to leave when you're only projected as a possible 4th round pick unless you think you can tear up the combine. I do expect big things from Corey Griffin and John Marvin if he did leave though.

Jamal has proven himself to be an extremely intelligent player this year. That plays really well in the league. This kid studies film and he reacts very quickly to fluid situations on the field. There are some other guys at his position moving into the draft who are more physical, bigger hitters, and maybe a half step faster, but Jamal is a player. He is instinctive and he obviously puts in the work off the field. I am glad to have him back. He won't hurt himself in the long run.

Awesome news! He is turning into a really great player.

I hope he can get his return mojo going again as well. If not, we may see some other folks returning kicks next year. IIRC, I don't remember us getting anything in the return game in the last few games. (Besides Harrell : )

If we didn't keep screwing up he would've single handedly beat Duke.

I love Jamal but I'm honestly surprised to hear he would've been projected that high! Makes me wonder where D.J. White would be projected. His NFL ceiling is a lot higher than Golden's in my relatively uninformed opinion.

Golden has the added advantage of being a return specialist. I'm curious if he's projected as a Safety or a Corner though.

I wasn't impressed with Golden to start the season...definitely came on strong towards the end. Was inconsistent at times, but closed strong. Was a bit surprised he was All-ACC. Good for him though...he's always been a great team guy. Hope he has an All-American type senior season. Will be one of the leaders next year.

He's a GREAT punt returner. He may not lead the league in return yards but he very seldom lets the ball hit the ground, knows when to let the ball go (close to the end zone) and is as sure handed as a returner can be.

Needs to get bigger and stronger to be a safety in the League. His physicality and tackling improved steadily this year. IMHO wise move to stay at college level...with hard work can greatly improve draft status.

Very heady player and a grounded high-character guy. Lots of pro potential if he works for it....and I think he will.
