Yup. JHowell bases their numbers on an established Power Ranking method. Not necessarily better, but consistent and repeatable. The SOS takes into account the team's Power Rankings and where the game is played. The timing between games or linkage to other games before or after is not considered (the estimate is bogus enough without including that complication).
Anyway, JHowell has us with the 29th hardest SOS (.664) and easier than Wake (.686) or FSU (.681) or NCState (.675) or BC (.668). http://www.jhowell.net/cf/cf2017.htm
