Its time to avenge the 2009 team.

Maybe throwing the ball on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and finally 4th down was ill advised? For all the talk about how we are a run first team, I still find that as one of the most odd series of plays CPJ has ever called.
Very true. On 3rd down, Nesbitt threw it over the middle to Anthony Allen. He was covered and it fell incomplete. On that play, Roddy Jones was WIDE open. People forget that, but it was frustrating. We need to avenge that team this year!

Esp. since there was plenty of time left to run the ball and we were practically at mid-field. Richt outcoached him that whole game.

On 1st and 10 there was 1:49 left in the game with the ball on UGA's 46 and we had 1 timeout. I don't particularly think that's a lot of time left when we needed 6. Regardless, a playcaller is always going to get second-guessed. And Roddy wasn't wide-open on 3rd down, there was a safety over the top.

To be honest, if anyone got outcoached, it might've been Dave Wommack, although to be fair, that game was a horrible typhoon of badness: the knee twist, losing a DT on the first drive, NCAA running around all week (thanks DRad).

That was my wife's first and only appearance at BDS. She has summarily been banned from BDS for life. Yeah, that post of mine needing 2 tix to CoFH? She's not going.

REVENGE!!!

:wtf:

Bad memories from that night. Steebu is right, we didn't have a lot of time to operate. Wasn't Hill open on the deep ball where he got hurt? I choose to remember Bay Bay's stiff arm on the smoke route TD. My buddy just looked at me and said "he's going pro"

As far as revenge factor going into this game - I hate to say it but you better believe the Mutts are thinking revenge for last year. Didn't Chubb and Michel both say they came back because they didn't want to go out as losers vs GT?

Chubb and Michel can say whatever they want but it comes down execution. I am not afraid whatsoever.

Keshun said one of his major objectives is to beat UGA 3-4 of his years.

Our kids are ready too. In fact, our kids havent beat those asshats in BDS since the 90's. Its time.

Most Tech fans recall the 4th down Thomas drop. I remember the bigger picture like the original poster bennyjacket said... In our 2nd year under Paul Johnson GT's option attack was well established and running over everybody. That night Georgia turned the tables, rushed for 339 yards on us, and already had t-shirts printed-up saying "We Run This State". It was as if Richt & the AD made some corporate-level decision to run the ball more than Tech to totally rub it in our faces. Yeah that's the day the phrase started. Of all the bitter defeats in COFH, that one sticks out as the We Run This State Game.

Do it watch this link [emoji35]

If we beat the mutts this year it would be one of the best in the series. Personally I've never seen Tech beat UGA at home, but it's about damn time I did! If we control the LOS we win. Painfully obvious that their passing game is lacking.

I was there somewhere in the west stands. I was really confident that if we get the ball, we'd be able to march down the field and win. Then we got the ball. Then Bay Bay dropped that stinkin ball (which was a perfectly thrown ball by Josh). It was a sad day. But we beat Climpsuns twice that year... that was fun.

If you want this scenario its nkw perfect. Cause we now have the baffling upset. Only thing that would make the parrallels better would be if it were in Athens. Thay said we play better early at home so lets go stomp some dogs
