Thre is so much in this to parse. How you arrive at the "best since ..." is baffling as neither have done anything on Grant Field. And the jaw dropping assertion that Sims is one of the top 15 recruits in "Georgia Tech history" numbs the mind. It is beyond subjective in that we are to assume 247 actually is familiar with "Georgia Tech history". I would love for 247 to back up the BS with a numerical listing, 1 through 15. Going back to the beginning. That's just nuts.

Well … yes, it is. Especially when you consider that the way Sims is rated "one of the top 15 recruits" is by using 247's senior ratings. When you have the time, go over to the Hive and take a look at the top 15. (The recruits by rating are at the bottom of the "commitments" page; hit view all and there you are.) Especially numbers 2, 3, 10, and 11. Just because 247 ranks Sims highly is no guarantee that he is a show stopper. As the Skept says, let's let him actually get on the field first and see what he has.

Btw, just looked. Graham's junior year stats (he missed a month as a senior, but was still all-state): 1725 passing, 956 running, 39 (!) Tds. Yates, junior and senior years: 6452 yards total offense, 66 (!) TDs. Oh, and Tobias amassed 7003 yards total offense in his career. (Why nobody gave him look at QB but Tech has always been beyond me.)

Sims will have some competition, even with Tobias at CB. We'll have to see how he does.
