I would imagine they'll both be involved in the summer. What I've seen/read was specific to Spring practice and then ready to go in fall camp.

Kind of wonder about Cottrell. Thought he would be further along as saw him on sidelines near seats. By end of season he was easily steping up on the benches to see over taller players. I am not a doctor or even someone who stayed at holiday end

Cottrell is not a year removed from major knee surgery. He will be back in the Fall. Etc is a first cousin of George P Burdell. He really has been around in a lot of places.

It is way to early to "worry" about Nathan's progress. His injury and surgery were in August, less than 5 months ago. ACL repair is on average a year long thing. Yes, he may have been getting up and down off the benches, but there are steps in a progression that have to be met and they are fairly conservative (for good reason). I would be very surprised if Cotrell was allowed to do any lateral cutting of any kind in his rehab by the time spring practice rolls around. Best guess would be having him ready for fall camp, with possibly a bit of a slow start up.
