I don't want to get in a big debate. Not sure what you've searched for, but anyone who wants to can Google the search terms 'people leaving California' and find multiple articles about the state's net loss in population recently, and the reasons people are leaving for places like Nevada and Idaho. Also, pictures and videos of the homeless areas are NOT 'camps'. There are sidewalks lined for blocks with tents. One article I saw was about Malibu, hardly a 'central industrial area'. I'm sorry if you're a fan of California, and feel the need to defend it, but I'm not a liar or exagerrator. This is not intended as a political statement either. The reality is CA is massively in debt as a state, and millions of people, for whatever reason, feel they can no longer afford to live there. Georgia is definitely having net growth, however.
