I wanted either Chadwell or Key. Fritz was my last choice out of the 4-5 realistic options being tossed around. Having said that…it looks like Tulane fans are not happy with the possibility of him leaving. After a quick Twitter search, it looks like everyone but us thinks this is a good hire.

Sucks for Key. I like Fritz but worry we’ll be back in this spot again in 4-5 years. Hopefully we’ll be in a better place financially and with a solid team to attract a splashy hire.

You have to realize the situation Tulane was in before they hired Fritz. They were TERRIBLE. Fritz slowly built them up, and took them to three straight bowls from 2018-2020. They sucked in 2021 due to several reasons, mainly injuries and a hurricane hitting NOLA early in the season, but this year he’s got Tulane in their best shape since probably the late 90’s.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m wrong if Willie lights it up but we are setting our ceiling at NC State with Dave Doeren level.

NC State has been really damn good under Doeren. He's won 8 or 9 games five of the last six seasons.
