3. Jamie Chadwell. I make no bones about it, he's been my #1 choice since Collins was escorted to his car with a $11 million going away check. I think his offense is a game changer for a school like GT, and his offensive mind is on the level of a Friedgen/Paul Johnson/Lincoln Riley/Leach. This is an option rushing attack with a high level passing game? That's a unicorn in the modern era. Of the 3 guys I've named here, Chadwell is IMO the guy with the highest ceiling.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there. You just listed a modern Mt. Rushmore of offensive minds. You must really think highly of Chadwell. I admit I’ve only seen highlights of one of CC’s games so no real opinion of Chadwell’s offense, but I do wonder if he borrowed the idea of arcing the OT from CPJ (who did it for the first time against UGA in 2016).

My only concern with him and BoB is that GT has fallen so far down the ranks of CFB desirable destinations (thanks, TFG!) that both Chadwell and BoB would bolt for a bigger opportunity if they show some success here. Imagine if Chadwell goes 10-2 in his first season here. A dominoes scenario of Kiffin->Auburn, Saban retires, Dabo->Alabama, and Chadwell->Clemson (money! Slides! Back home to South Carolina!) isn’t out of the realm of possibilities. I hate for us to be a stepping stone, but Key seems the least likely to bolt - but who knows … if he does really well after a few years you could imagine him getting a few tempting calls, too.

So, if it's Chadwell or BOB this cycle, then in 3-5 we go back to BK after he's gained some HC experience somewhere else.

You are way too concerned about a coach leaving if he is successful.

Just out of curiosity...what are UGA fans saying about Tech's coaching candidates?

For those of you who live and work surrounded by them...what are you hearing?
they wanted us to retain G**** C******

I also hear from them that would should have kept CPJ (not my words but mutt fans)
and that we need this hire to be a home run

Not at 5:15 this morning, it was empty when I came by for some.
I'm going to the store this morning to fill it back up.
I really hope Key gets the job but not sure how many on here will still want him after the game. But if it's not Key I don't care who it is as long as he can bring all the Tech fans together again. (damn I don't like to be sober)

100%

I'll support anyone (not named Geoff Collins)!

I'd love there to be no bitching once the new coach is announced, but while I do believe in miracles some things are just too much to ask.

I'm at a point that if someone does well enough that they later bolt, let them. At least we had some good football.

No one creates football schemes from scratch. If he borrowed a good idea, that is a good thing. But, I do believe him that he has tried a lot and this is what he developed. I also see changes in Jamey's tendencies over the years. This is good.

Give me an Xs and Os coach who developed his own offense and a person that has greatly improved 3 differnt programs. That is a good gamble.

No, I don't expect anyone to come into GT and win consistent 11 win seasons seasons until the funding and the school changes.

The most coherent post I believe I’ve ever seen from you on here. Sober looks good on you, stech 😉

If UGA wins today that is back to back 12-0 regular seasons. This is the best run in UGA history. So they can't be our measuring stick in the next couple of years for any new coach. But to get closer to UGA and Clemson and win the majority of the rest is what I want
