GT fans, cherish the games you get to watch King play. We're watching a special player that doesn't come along often. What makes him even more special is how much all of this means to him.
I watched the game with some UGA buddies, and EVERY single one of them was absolutely in awe of him. "That kid is an absolute stud", "One tough SOB", "GD...I hate that guy", "UGA needs to write the biggest NIL check for that guy this offseason"...amongst others were repeated throughout the game. I've known some these guys since high school, and I've never heard them been this effusive in praise of any of our players....and we've had some REALLY good ones over the years. Kirby Smart himself kept bring up Haynes King whenever they put a mic in front of him.
It's unfortunate he had that late fumble, but GT is not in the position we were, and maybe not even close, without King. I know everyone is riding that Philo train at the moment (he'll be special one day as well), but every single one of our players/coaches/and probably some of fans will run through a brick wall for King. It's not just this game, it's been Hayne's entire career at GT. That kid literally puts this team on his back when he gets the chance, and I don't think he's thinking about his health when he takes those snaps.
For me, King's style embodies the GT ethos. Bust your @ss, be smart, be resilient, and do whatever it takes to succeed.
