The man deserves his own appreciation thread. Talk about leaving it all out on the field. 400+ yards of total offense, responsible for 5 TDs, playing in obvious pain. He is one of the toughest football players I’ve ever seen.
Someone should post a picture of his jersey after - he could’ve played for Notre Dame with how green it was.
His direction of the team and knowing how to get people into the right spot was so important last night. He was a true field general last night, demanding the best of people. In the second half we had to call a TO because we couldn’t get the formation right (on that 10 min drive?) and he was in Hawes’ face telling him what to do. Really hard to do in the face of that noise and in that environment.
Haynes King is the epitome of a Tech man, IMHO. Leads by example, fights to the end, does whatever it takes to get the job done.
