I’m not sure what has changed but they don’t seem to be getting in as much trouble as in the Richt years, maybe they finally got the cops on board with protecting the fb team? Kirby seems to respect the rivalry with GT, so-far i’m not hating him either. I still hate their players though, i can barely watch them play during the season i hate them so much.

I thought McGarity was a fool for getting rid of Richt, a reliable 9 or 10-win coach. In retrospect, the change appears to be a significant upgrade - Kirby has made the program even more competitive and he comes off as quite humble for a man in his position.

Also, I’d like to add, there’s a definite distinction between personal hate and rivalry hate. Some coaches afford you both. Kirby, just the latter. Richt on the other hand...

Now if Kirby tolerates Miami-esque behavior or personally orders it like Richt... all bets are off.

Apparently Kirby thinks Paul is a “genius” which may be why he’s so complimentary. It seems a lot of opposing coaches have more respect for our coach than half of our fans do.
