Has there ever been a season like this?

Back to the Future?
This. Yes, with each game it feels more and more like the handwriting's on the wall, but I still care about Miami (although I'd like to see MJ play, if not start).

We actually played pretty well on Thursday, for the first quarter. Then Bud adjusted and we had no answer offensively. I don't know anything about Miami's D or their DC, but he's not Bud Foster.

It's not inconceivable we could beat Miami, remember what it feels like, and then beat a mediocre ugag team. I'm hoping, anyway.

They aren't a dumpster fire IMO but after looking at their record they aren't as good as I had thought. Still better than us though. I will say we can win. I'll be mildly surprised if we do but it is doable.

I am not as disturbed by the record this year as the record is disturbing.

This year we have gone 1 and 4 so far in toss up games. ( Duke. Pitt. Unc. Fsu. VT.) Last year we were 3 and 3. (Uga. fsu. unc. duke. gsu. VT). This year we plugged in ND for Elon and FSU for ncst. This year we traded a senior heavy offense for a freshman heavy offense. Last year we were almost injury free until zac and smelter went down. This year we reserve an injury bench during the games.

Has there has ever been a more appropriate time to say 'wait until next year'?

Part of me wants to agree...but then I look at all of the departures coming our way in the secondary. White and Miltonbin particular have made some plays that kept things from getting even uglier.

I do think next year will be better. I think we will have a pretty strong nucleus. I believe the O will get back on track. The D might take a step back. Time will tell. I'll be happy so long as we make a strong push at the coastal.

If we can jump on them early one would think we could win , once they get behind they will quit. But we still have not win a game on the road this year.

There has never been a season like this in which Georgia Tech was expected to do well and wet the bed. In 1991 we were defending national champs, had a stacked team and were highly ranked preseason. We had a very disappointing season, but we were still 8-5 not 3-9.
I am not sure where this 3 and 9 comes from. What is the point in saying that at this point? IF we end up going 3 and 9 then by all means. Of course this year has been a bigger drop off than 1991, even if we finish at 5-7.

One thing we know for sure is that when we have one the all time most effective offenses we will win regardless of the defense.

That being said, our young guns O AND the D are showing they have game.
