I seriously hope MM gets most of the reps at BB. Skov is only ok to me, better in the short/hard yardage situations. MM shows a lot of promise. Let him get the reps.
Yes, and that's just it. What you want at BB is someone who is so good in short/hard situations that the D has to remain inside and on their heels to stop him. Then all you need is a mistake or a run through a tackle to make things a disaster for the other side. Kind of like we had last year with the combo.

I agree that MM is our best bet this year. We'll see in the future.

Interesting to see that Gamble is starting at NT above Jabari and Lands-Davis is a starter at a-back. Wish Snoddy was back this week.

Pretty sure Gamble's been starting all year? I haven't been that impressed with Jabari.

As for Lands-Davis, I personally think it's a good sign he supplanted Willis as starter. I don't think it's a knock on Willis at all, more of a compliment to Lands-Davis. However, it's hard to have depth when your breakdown of the 12 guys at AB:
2 Redshirts (Jarrett, Green),
4 Injured (Snoddy, Searcy, Benson, Cottrell),
2 Walkons (Willis, McClellan),
1 Converted DB (Griffin) and
3 Freshman (Lynch, Lands-Davis, Marshall).

Glad to see A.J. Gray listed on depth chart. That was a scary helmet to helmet hit that knocked him out of the FSU game in the 4th Qtr.

Our Long Snapper is now Casey Wilson (rFr) with Sean Tobin as (rSr) backup.

Otherwise what scares me in the 6 Sr or rSr starting on D. On O we are fine next year. Too bad we can't keep Gotsis on retainer.

What's crazy, if you really analyze the whole thing, is if Errin Joe gets his 6th year, we will only lose 2 OL and that's basically it on D for starters. On D, 3 of 4 D linemen will be back and Brant is playing starter's snaps at LB, so basically both starters back at LB... the only position group that's taking significant losses will be the defensive secondary, and I honestly love the talent that's coming back there. Step and the Austin's will all be in their 3rd years and AJ will be more seasoned.

Lets get a W this week and keep the positive momentum going!

Actually 2 freshmen Marshalls

Basically 20 of 22 on O returning from the 2-deep (assuming Joe is back) and 14+ on D (I didn't count Vic or Kyle Henderson, since they are listed as 3rd)... so 16 if you count those two.

Jabari hasn't been what we thought he would be at this point in the season. He has been double teamed a pretty good amount though and although hasn't had a ton of tackles he's done good at plugging his gap. It's gotta be hard making the transition from standing up 5 yards behinds the Los to being in three point stance at the Los. I think ppl had to great of expectations for him going into the season, but I believe he can reach those expectations.

Georgia Tech’s D.J. White expecting to play vs. Virginia

http://georgiatech.blog.ajc.com/2015/10/27/georgia-techs-d-j-white-expecting-to-play-vs-virginia/

After sitting out for the first time since his freshman season, Georgia Tech senior cornerback D.J. White expects to play Saturday against Virginia.

“I’m looking forward to it, first of all, getting back on the field personally,” White said after Tuesday’s practice.

White said he suffered a sprained ankle in practice last Wednesday. The injury kept him out of Tech’s 22-16 upset win over Florida State. White had played in 44 consecutive games, starting 30 of them. He was among a number of players who either sat out Saturday’s game or left it with injury. Cornerback Step Durham, who started in White’s place, did not finish the game with an undisclosed injury, leading to Lance Austin’s presence on the field for the game-winning 78-yard touchdown return of a blocked field goal.

“It hurt a lot for me (to miss the game), but I knew I couldn’t go out there and hurt my team if I knew I couldn’t go out there and play like I needed to play,” White said.
