Yes, and that's just it. What you want at BB is someone who is so good in short/hard situations that the D has to remain inside and on their heels to stop him. Then all you need is a mistake or a run through a tackle to make things a disaster for the other side. Kind of like we had last year with the combo.I seriously hope MM gets most of the reps at BB. Skov is only ok to me, better in the short/hard yardage situations. MM shows a lot of promise. Let him get the reps.
Interesting to see that Gamble is starting at NT above Jabari and Lands-Davis is a starter at a-back. Wish Snoddy was back this week.
I don't suppose Snoddy could take a medical redshirt?
Pretty sure Gamble's been starting all year? I haven't been that impressed with Jabari.
As for Lands-Davis, I personally think it's a good sign he supplanted Willis as starter. I don't think it's a knock on Willis at all, more of a compliment to Lands-Davis. However, it's hard to have depth when your breakdown of the 12 guys at AB:
2 Redshirts (Jarrett, Green),
4 Injured (Snoddy, Searcy, Benson, Cottrell),
2 Walkons (Willis, McClellan),
1 Converted DB (Griffin) and
3 Freshman (Lynch, Lands-Davis, Marshall).
This year's loss on O could've looked different with Dennis Andrews, CJ Leggett, and all our wounded.Next year's losses on D could mirror this year's O. Time will tell.
No doubt. This year's loss on O could've looked different with Dennis Andrews, CJ Leggett, and all our wounded.
Jabari hasn't been what we thought he would be at this point in the season. He has been double teamed a pretty good amount though and although hasn't had a ton of tackles he's done good at plugging his gap. It's gotta be hard making the transition from standing up 5 yards behinds the Los to being in three point stance at the Los. I think ppl had to great of expectations for him going into the season, but I believe he can reach those expectations.Pretty sure Gamble's been starting all year? I haven't been that impressed with Jabari.
