EVERYBODY is picking against us--there's a 19.5 point spread, and the only question is who the thirteen ("ATS" in yellow) are that pick us to cover the spread. The SUP column is "straight up" and -1 = UGA.

I had to look it up--last year, UGA was favored by 23, so I guess this is a little better. If any of you enjoy being an underdog, we're one heckuva underdog this week.

You’re correct. Last year we were a 23 point underdog. We have a very small statistical home field advantage. I think that’s less of a slight of our stadium / fanbase and more to do with the ease of getting to ATL for away teams compared to bumble-you-know-what towns.

Giving us a 2 point edge in 2023 for home and the dwags closer to a 4 point edge in 2024, it’s a net 10 point swing. (-23 in 2023 so roughly -25 on a neutral; -19 in 2024 roughly -15 neutral). I think it’s fair to judge the 10 point swing as about half due to ugag perceived less this year than last and us better this year than last.

I perceive the 2025 COFH game will be handicapped from a spread perspective as a neutral field (no advantage to us).

We’ve won straight up 3 times since Key took over as an underdog this large was which just incredible. 2022 at pitt, 2022 at the ‘holes, and 2023 at miami.

I didn’t follow college football pre-2002. The largest underdog we’ve been in the series when we won post 2002 was 2014 (roughly a 12 point underdog). We were an underdog of 8 points in 2008 and 4 points in 2016.

I’ve tried my best to kill any brain cells that may cling to details of losses, but I think the smallest spreads since 2002 in this series were 2009 (GT was favored by 7), 2005 (GT was a 2.5 point underdog) and 2013 (GT was a 3.5 point underdog).

Hurricane Jacket- I love travelling to Athens. A Tech upset in front of all those Dawg fans has to be the sports highlight you never forget. I encourage anyone sitting on the fence about going- we need every Tech fan possible to be there screaming for our team! GO JACKETS!!!!

His being less than a hundred percent really hurts us there. Defenses can key on the back and not worry as much about his keeping the ball.
I know it's supposedly his shoulder that's hurt, but that may be also affecting his running ability, or something is. Or so it seems to me. I could be wrong (no surprise there) and I hope I am.

With all that shaking and baking going on I sometimes wonder if he knows where he is going so how is the defense going to know?

I fully expect UGA to win and win handily because if they don't and lose the conference title game they will be on thin ice. They pretty much have to make a statement in this game for their confidence because it is about to get a whole lot tougher.

I don't know how big that guy is but he looks huge for a linebacker. Of course, since he transferred from UGA he is big strong and looks the part. He has pro football career written all over him judging by the eye test.

I'll be there, just like I was in 2016. We missed 2014 due to our honeymoon and I haven't missed one since, although my wife hasn't made this trip or the last I plan to be there.

Hope the game is close, win or lose, but agree that uga knows what their assignment is in this game. If they don’t handle business decisively their playoff hopes are in jeopardy. My hope is that their mental mindset of wanting to take care of Tech early and coast into the SEC championship gets them in trouble. If Tech puts up stiff resistance to that uga could get frustrated and press too hard causing mistakes.

RB gotta have vision. Depending upon the decisions the DL makes, the holes may open differently.

Just to add one more (sad) reason to attend the game - Athens unfortunately is the place you HAVE to go if you want to witness in person a Tech win in this series. It's unfortunate but I have grown to feel more optimistic in the years when it is played over there. I used to attend annually when I lived in state.
