I didn't see anything for how many fumbles we created or sacks.

ESPN doesn't track many defense stats for college games.
Has GT ever scored >60 in back to back games before, in the modern era ?
Allowed way more yards than we should've. Lots of ball carriers caught in traffic but the defense not actually tackling them.
I think that was some of it. It goes back to something Roof said last week about the young guys staying in their lanes and not trying to be the star every play. I think a lot of the rushing yards in the 2nd half were caused by people not staying in their lanes, then having to try and reach tackle to stop the runner.I thought it was mostly the 2's that had trouble tackling. Once we got up 37-7, you generally did not see the starting line or LB's play, and the tackling of their backups definitely dropped off.
Playing dozens of substitutes. This builds depth, this makes practice more meaningful, and this certainly raises the overall morale and focus of the team. Third teamers know: "I might play this week. I might play on the field where Rockne coached the Four Horsemen, where Hornung, Montana, Theismann, and Johnny Lujack played. I need to be ready."Allowed way more yards than we should've.
