We had lost 4 tough 3-2 matches in a row against really good teams. Glad to see that we pulled this one out, and hopefully this tough 3-2 win gives us the confidence to get us rolling! We've played some of the best teams in the NCAA this year. Earlier in the year we were losing matches 3-0 against them. More recently, we've lost them 3-2. Hopefully now we start winning them 3-2 (I wouldn't mind 3-0, but at this point of the season anyone we play is going to be a battle...)
If we had served better this match wouldn't have been close.

Nail biter for sure. I'll be honest... I turned off the feed after the 4th set. I couldn't stomach it anymore after the 4 straight 5-setter heartbreaks and football last Fri.
I'm so happy for the ladies!! This must've been such a sweet win after what they've gone thru the last 2 weeks. Wish I was freezing up in Wisconsin right now!
Tough game against the Badgers tomorrow... I'm worried about the lack of recovery now. GO JACKETS!

1-1 after 2 seats and Jackets have come back to make it 22-22 in the 3rd set. Huge points incoming here! I'll be in Chat if folks want to join.
Awe man, I would've joined the chat if I saw this sooner.
Good season Jackets! We gave it our all and gave Wisco a good showing. We got seeded a bit too low b/c of our final stretch games. Really should've had a cupcake for game 1 and Tenn level for game 2. But everyone in the VB world knew we took Stanford and Pitt to the wire so they had a lot of respect and fear for us and that changes things for us going forward.
Sad I won't get to see the seniors play anymore... Tam and Bianca have been my favorites and I'm happy to have seen them play so long together.
How's next year's team looking? It's gonna be a very young team.

Who knows really if it will be a young team with the transfer portal. Obviously we will feature Wiley a lot next year. I could see her working the off season with a move to an outside hitter. We still have Mogridge back for another year who could play middle or outside. Both Velez and Mendes are back as well as Soares at setter. And I think Casas will be a player next year. So the cupboard is far from bare. I would bet on at least a couple of impact transfers as well as someone from South America we don't yet know about.

We lose a ton of power this off-season. It will be interesting to see if CMC goes outside for hitting help or if she feels she has what she needs in the program and what she's recruited. Losing both Bertolino and Otene is going to sting. We have 2 Middles and a Right Side coming back. Wiley, and Mogridge in the M and Mendes on the RS. I've heard good things about Casas and Boezi has another year, but we lose a ton of minutes from this season's team. Fortunately, Velez has another year too. We don't have anyone who has played Outside other than Bianca in 3 years. Do we go back to a 6-1 with just 1 ready setter or do we bring in a ready setter and stay with a 5-2? Mendes is not a back-row player
