GT Offense Historically vs Duke

Cutcliffe has been at Duke for the same amount of time as CPJ at GT. The table below is a snapshot of our offensive run/pass balance stats vs Duke during that time. (Attempts-Yards)

I thought I remembered our QB having a great day throwing the ball vs Duke last year. Looking at the stat, it looks kinda run of the mill for us against Duke. So just for kicks, I thought I'd compare what we do vs Duke to what we do vs everybody during that year.

No trends that I see. We pretty much do to Duke what we do to an average opponent. Except for 2008 when D. Thomas had a monster game, kinda like he did yesterday for his NFL team.

Barring any injuries or abundance of turnovers I think we will score over 30 points Saturday. The only thing I worry about their ability to dink and dunk it down the field against our soft coverage on the outside. Our d-line is improving so hopefully we can get pressure on the QB early get a turnover and get the lead. Then let the death marches commence!!

Averaging 225 yds/gm and 6.0 yds/rush... Got 331 vs Kansas (not the good team from Kansas) but only 85 at Miami. Hard to say at this point in the season...

Duke is a well coached, disciplined and dangerous team that makes very few mistakes (never thought I would ever type these words...), we will have to bring our A game to win. They got extra time to prepare and rest while we played a very physical game last Saturday. Students are off for fall break on Mon and Tue, I hope we still bring a lot of fans and the players will be up for this game. Bought 2 extra tickets and my son will take 2 buddies.
