I haven't been able to post from mobile. I have a little catching up to do.

Wow! We should schedule the Canes for homecoming more often!

I LOVED the strip sack at the end. Gutsy defense all game.

Miami has nothing to be ashamed of. They're a helluva team, and they're talented. I'm not sure who wanted to play us today--we were just READY.
Best full game I’ve watched us play since the 2014 Orange Bowl.

As others have said, really great team win. Some observations:
1) You have to be tough to play a football game with an injured shoulder. King and Efford deserve all the respect in the world for playing so har today, really gutting it out to earn that win. Impressive is too small a word to describe that effort.
2) The offensive plan and execution from the QBs was pretty amazing. How hard is it for an offense to have two quarterbacks playing major snaps, both performing well? It sounds like chaos and I’m still not sure how we pulled that off. Major respect for Philo coming into that situation and making some critical plays.
3) Defense came out with heart today, they really laid it on the line. When Ward had time nobody was open, and the big boys up front played really strong. Those last few drive Van der Berg was just muscling the C or G into the pocket.

Really happy for the team, great win for them. I’m also happy for my pocketbook - I took the over for wins this season at 5 1/2. So happy it came with this win.

Let’s go!!!!
Buster and Tyler did a great Job calling and scheming for this one .

HK10 is the difference maker on offense , when he plays we have a chance .

Excited for Philo ! Another year under King and he’ll take the torch.

Tatum and Daniels had huge games !
We tackled very well today.

On to NC State . Then the mutts!

HELL YES!! Buster called a damn good game and that’s the Buster I love to see
Agreed. The QB platoon system was really gutsy, and it was nice to see the passing game back (even if not for a ton of yardage)

Nice job by both lines--we got the edge a LOT, and the DL had a heckuva game.

I was going to say "The defensive play calling was as good as I've seen all year". We got sacks and pressures. Miami's receivers were a handful for us, but we did well (and if someone's going to torch you for an explosive game, I'm OK with intentional pass interference).

In other games, BC knocks of Syracuse 37-31, so it can be done.
VT leading Clemson 7-0--maybe VT is better than expected. Looks like Beamer Ball.
Duke leads NCST 12-9 on a TD, a FG, and a SAFETY. The game looks like a mess.
FSU plays Notre Dame and UVA plays Pitt later

We would’ve won that VT if we were healthy.

BEAUTIFUL win! Offensively, reminded me of the uga game last year when we threw the book at em with misdirections, motions, etc. When King was in they knew we were running it and we still kept them off balance enough with all the wrinkles to be extremely effective. A little annoying knowing that’s been in our back pocket all year with how vanilla we’ve been, but too happy about the win right now to dwell on that.

Can’t say enough about the defense. Guys were flying around, tackling was sound, felt like we consistently won the line of scrimmage and hit their RB early. Even specials teams did their job, was nice to see some punts with some actual hangtime today.

Time for another well-deserved bye and hopefully some healing, and then send our seniors out right under the lights in 12 days. Expecting a raucous atmosphere.

GO JACKETS!!!!

If Haynes King was healthy we win that game by 2 TDs easily. Hell, if they don't knock out Jamal Haynes I think we win by 10.

I think we rest King next week and win, then try to beat Georgia to end the year. I think it's possible.

The death march that spanned from the 1st to 2nd quarter and led to a TD sealed it for me to believe we had a good shot today. Helluva win!

Repeat in 12 days. Then shock football 8 days after that in the cesspool.

First….helluva game by everyone including players and coaches.

i’ll pick one nit….4th quarter, 2 and 1/2 minutes left, GT would love to run out the clock. 3rd and 1 for GT at our own 37. GO UNDER CENTER AND RUN THE Q B SNEAK WITH A TUSH PUSH!! Instead, we go from the I, fake to the RB up the middle and try King on a bootleg, losing 2 yards and forcing us to punt. This set up the great defensive strip sack, but we should have been able to keep the clock moving there with a sneak.

I highlighted some important pieces. We had 10 minutes more time of possession--that was basically one drive for us--that and the strip sack may have been the deciding factors in the game.

We rushed for 271 yards, If you were looking for the game where we proved we could win through the air, this wasn't it ;)

Aaron Philo was fantastic in the second half especially. He was 4-6 for 64 yards. But more importantly 3 of those completions were on 3rd and long.
  1. 3rd and 9 he hits Chase Lane for a 15yd TD!
  2. 3rd and 18 he hits Bailey Stockton for 27 yards and a first down... HK10 runs it in 3 plays later for our 4th TD!
  3. 3rd and 8 on our own 17 he hits Malik Rutherford for 16yds and a first down. We don't score but we run 4:09 off the clock on that drive and punt and 2 plays later Height gets the strip sack and Van Den Berg recovers the fumble
Just another example of how everyone made plays today!!!
