Aside from his rough around the edges personality, ND fans seemed to like him and think he's a good OC.
Exactly but for financial reasons they will see the season throughHe was fired. Decent production...except in games where it mattered.
This is a horribly unimaginative hire.
To give how unwanted Chip Long is on the national level, after ND, he did not get a job as an OC. He became an analyst for Tennessee. Under Pruitt. Then, he was hired as OC for Tulane. And their offense was not good. They went 2-10.
This just helps confirm that TStan and Collins will be gone next year. Maybe after the first 4 games.
Jon Tenuta, other side of the ball.supposedly everyone hated him. not a super nice guy and difficult to work with. don’t really care
TIC I guess but any chance Gibbs actually changes his mind? But what does Gibbs think?
Sure, like there's no way we could have used a recent Broyles finalist from ND the last 3 years as OC. No way I tell ya. As for unimaginative, look where being imaginative got us.He was fired. Decent production...except in games where it mattered.

It's sad how often you read here that CGC needs a couple of decades to get it going, but a guy's first year at a place known for MNC's (not), is not a good hire !? Look up Broyles Award and get sober.I hope I’m wrong but a guy who was about to get canned at Tulane doesn’t seem like a great hire

Hard to find a college football coach who hasn't been fired from somewhere.I hope I’m wrong but a guy who was about to get canned at Tulane doesn’t seem like a great hire
