I was happy to hear that Tech had decided to profit from KSU's silly decision. Bohannon is a strong addition to the staff. I remember listening to our bowl gam this year and hearing the color guy say that if Tech has a 3rd and 4 or less everybody in the park knew the QB was going to run. Sure enough, Vandy knew that and was laying for it.

Nest year I'm guessing that in the same situation, Tech will bring in an extra TE and run a double option to the edge or bring in Mosley and run a true trip from a split backfield. That will make other teams a good deal less confident. And if anybody in coaching (pace Moncken) knows how to coach QBs to run option plays, it's Coach Bohannon. I'm really glad to get him back at Tech.

Thing is...Morgan could tackle when he got off da bus. Tech coaches did not teach him to tackle. We need more of this phenomenon. Morgan also did not head to the medical tent very often after he laid the wood on somebody. Trying to teach tackling is like trying to teach speed, height, and athleticism.
Harris is a DB stud in tackling getting off the bus.Put him at Rover and watch the DEF stats improve esp 3 rd down stops..

When i was at orange bowl with a client who was a db in hs, he saw mb cut across field and slam the runner. He exclaimed, "did you see that. Watch him the rest of the game!" I did!

I think we need to accept that, if he continues successful, at some point fsu will come calling for Wienke.
There’s always that chance, but there’s something to be said about keeping the good memories good. Looking at frost and Nebraska, or TFG and here. I’m not saying we won’t lose him. I’m just saying going back home ain’t always the best option

I mean, he's already Co-OC and Assistant Head Coach. I think the Asst HC work he's doing is getting him farther in his career than if he were sole OC. Just my opinion, but I feel like he's in the spot he wants right now.
I agree he’s in a position he wants to be. Think that if Weinke wanted to OC job, Buster would never have been hired. I think they way it was done was intentional.

Hiring Bohannon is a homerun hire. He's a brilliant offensive mind and will go a long way to helping to improve our offense. I was not happy when he left, but I understood the move. He was instrumental in the success that JFN had and helped to install the offense when CPJ first arrived. Looks like CBK is doubling down on running the dang ball...

Kennesaw is too dysfunctional to understand what they've done...

Can't keep relying on qb to get critical 3rd or 4th and short and then make downfield passes. Got to get some rb thst can handle 3rd and 2.
The sequence for ot goes to putting the ball down on 3 yds line way quicker than i thought. In uga they just over powered our defense and plugged middle against our offense.

I am in hopes we use the younger faster ol and new te to be make us more effective on off tackle and outside run and tunnel screen.

Also , i think we can do more moving pockets to make offense more pass to philo and other qbs who arent as good at rushing as king. .

Lets just get ahead and win gojng away.

I found it interesting in the CFP Championship Game that both ND and Ohio State used their QBs to get the critical 1-3 yards on 3rd or 4th down with runs with the QB NOT under center.

We need some Diesel-esque Bback love. Inside veer and some play-side cut blocking. 😜
