Neither were on staff at season’s end but worth mentioning.
@jgtengineer is now on Fran's list. Watch out, @jgtengineer!Very interesting that syracuse would be hiring brumfield since his special teams had a good to do with why they beat us.

Thank you HCBK!I’d love to bring Bohannan in as an offensive analyst.
If it is the OC route, I can see how it could be here after BF leaves for a HC job. It would be an interesting choice between weinke and him for an OCExcited to get Bohannon back for both gameplan/scheme purposes as well as recruiting and deepening roots within the state. BB has been involved with college foootball in the state of Georgia for a long time, and HS coaches around the state were pissed that KSU fired him. I don’t expect him to be around for long, maybe a year or 2 until he gets another job as an OC or HC somewhere, but a great get. I continue to be impressed with Key’s (and GT football as a whole) ability to put a competent staff together. Lots of pieces with deeeeeeep GA HS connections as well. Tech is definitely “cooler” right now than it has been in a very long time.
Thank goodness we have two amazing safeties coming in. Immediate playing time was probably a big draw.Burrell from Tenn and Harvey from Auburn, are two of the best corners we have had in awhile, but they missed a lot of time with injuries. Harvey comes back for 2025. Our Safeties disappear in coverage and miss tackles, including our leader of the secondary (per coaches). This is where we need the most help imo, along with avoiding the injury bug (more size would help).
This assumes Weinke wants to be an OC. I think he's happy doing what he does whispering QBsIf it is the OC route, I can see how it could be here after BF leaves for a HC job. It would be an interesting choice between weinke and him for an OC
Thing is...Morgan could tackle when he got off da bus. Tech coaches did not teach him to tackle. We need more of this phenomenon. Morgan also did not head to the medical tent very often after he laid the wood on somebody. Trying to teach tackling is like trying to teach speed, height, and athleticism.Thank goodness we have two amazing safeties coming in. Immediate playing time was probably a big draw.
Reminds me of when Morgan Burnett came to play safety for us. He was a day 1 starter. Good as a freshman, even if he got burned a few times. Great as the years went on - one of our most successful NFL players IMHO. I remember his freshman year we played BC with Matt Ryan at QB, and Ryan threw a bomb against Burnett, using a shoulder fake to draw him towards the line and then dropping a beautiful pass behind him. "Forged in fire" by that experience.
If Buster decides to go back to the HC job, Bohannon would be a nice OC.Excited to get Bohannon back for both gameplan/scheme purposes as well as recruiting and deepening roots within the state. I mean, he's already Co-OC and Assistant Head Coach. I think the Asst HC work he's doing is getting him farther in his career than if he were sole OC. Just my opinion, but I feel like he's in the spot he wants right now. This assumes Weinke wants to be an OC. I think he's happy doing what he does whispering QBs
