These other Generals, great men all, certainly have their place in history. None other formed an organization that didn't exist, assembled & massed forces that were no where to be found, then turned around & established the greatest country there ever was.

Well said! Would just add that he had the foresight to see that term limits were an important safeguard against tyrannical power (150 years before the rest of us finally made it official). Simply walked away from the office to go back to farming and surveying.
