Gray said that, in reviewing game video, safeties coach Andy McCollum told him not to assume that someone else was going to make a play, but to go make it himself.
“So that’s what I did,” he said. “That’s what I’m going to continue to do because that’ll make me more effective, more useful on the team.”

Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Micheal Summers, who transferred from Tech to play for Georgia Southern as a grad transfer, will not play against the Yellow Jackets due to a knee injury suffered in the preseason.
Summers has not played in any of the Eagles’ five games this season, undoubtedly a disappointing turn of events.
It would be real easy to say, "serves him right," but I am truly sorry that it hasn't worked out for him, in spite of the way he left the team last fall.
“You would think we would have a couple extra days, but we had a mild weather issue here to add some humor to it,” Summers said. “We have tried to have a little more time with our staff, but we really haven’t been able to do it with our players the way you would think.”
And finally, how do you see this game playing out? What’s your final score prediction?
The line opened with Tech as an eight-point favorite. Since then the line has climbed to 10.5, which does not surprise me. Maybe the Southern offense figures out its blocking schemes this week or surprises Tech and things get interesting. If not, GT fans are gonna say "helluva" about three million times Saturday afternoon.
