What say you?

Poll included.
I say that Duke is in a similar situation we were in going into the Louisville game. Not much left in the tank. Coming off a rivalry game for them and a bye week for us bodes well. I believe that the only way Duke can win is through a sloppy and ugly game which is what they do this year. Tech needs to avoid penalties, blocked punts, turnovers because this is a team that thrives on that sort of thing.

UNC being the most recent example. Duke down 20-0 early in the second half goes back to punt, UNC blocks punt ball takes a crazy backward bounce crossing the LOS. Three Tarheels stand around watching the ball allowing an alert Blue Devil to pounce on it. Duke's quarterback heaves a ball about 30 yards and is caught. Duke finds its running game, scores a TD and proceeds to come from behind erasing a 20 point lead in the process. Can Manny get his boys to reach beyond their talent level one more time? I don't think so. Tech by about a TD.

This game scares me. Last year I was unable to watch 3 games live: BG, BC, & Clemson. I won't be able to watch this game due to prior commitments; one of the few times a night game is bad for me.

But my prediction to lose last week (31-21) was too darn close, so I am not going to predict us to lose ever again. Tech 28-24.

Since the incredible high of the Week 0 win, I've continually lost a little bit of confidence. IMO, among other's, our coaching inexperience is hurting us right now, I believe it will improve over time but unsure how the remainder of this season will turn out.

Home field advantage is (was) typically a 3-point swing ... GT 27-24

Our defense is the key for this game. If you look at teams with bad offense FSU comes to mind. We allowed FSU to score more points than any other team. If we do the same with Duke we lose by 2 possessions. If the defense stands up we have a chance of winning by a possession.

I don’t think Duke has a very good offense. We’re good against the run and they can’t throw the ball around which works in our favor. I think we will get the ground game going and win this one fairly easily. 34-17.

Blocked punts that cross the LOS should not be able to be recovered unless the team that blocked the kick touches the ball unrelated to the block.

I was wondering about that. I did not see the play..did the ball roll far enough forward to pass the line to gain before Duke recovered? I have been trying to imagine how Duke maintained possession after recovering a blocked kick on 4th down.

The buzz around this game from the Duke perspective is that they are playing with the House's money. Meanwhile, we have to win. I like our chances to roll on this one , hopefully in front of an energetic crowd. Tech 41 Duke 17.

I went looking for a video of this play. All the discussion I read (can't find video) indicated that it was actually NC punting. Duke blocked it and knocked the ball around while trying to recover...NC recovers, kept possession and went on to kick a field goal to make it 20 to 0.

Even though duke has a decent defense, I just have a feeling that our offense breaks out in this game. I think we score quite a bit. Im thinking like 42-21 type of game.

It’s gonna be a close one. Mobile QB’s give our D fits. Santucci’s time at Dook will be a wash, IMO. He may know their tendencies and weak spots, but they will know his also.
We HAVE GOT TO MAKE OUR FIELD GOALS. Tech 23(3fg), Duke 21.
