Miami has more games putting up 50+ than they do in the 30s, and their lowest total is 36. Honestly holding them to 31 might be more impressive than winning the game.
WOW. Not only did we hold them to 31, we held them to 23 AND WON THE GAME.

Totally unexpected out of the defense, and a great performance out of the offense to keep the ball out of Ward’s hands as well. We went 9/14 on 3rd down and Miami was 3/10 and 1/4 on 4th down. Thats the difference in the game. We made plays when we had to on both sides of the ball, and they didn’t. Both coordinators were dialed in today.

I was actually partially upset about the knee because I wanted to be right there

I dunno, imagine the schadenfreude where he scores and they somehow score b2b TDs to win.

I still watch the ends of GT games like the closing credits from a really scary movie, hoping my favorite characters are safe and the movie ends.

VT basically beat these guys 41-38. Let that sync in for a second. VTs offense essentially put up 41 points (and was robbed of a TD to win the game). The same offense we forced to punt 10 times. That’s how bad Miami’s defense is. If anyone thinks we have no chance they are crazy. If we want to score 30+ we can. The problem is that I don’t think that’s the way to win. I’m more so thinking we win something like 28-27 or maybe 31-28 by limiting possessions.
I think this aged pretty well

They're a factory producing inferior widgets.

No question. But on a given day...
And so...the chasm closed with remarkable rapidity as my reputation, such as it is, collapsed as well. Mea culpa, mea culpa and a hearty congratulations to the Jackets, whose talents might be in question but whose heart never seems to be at least lately.
