Future Uniform Rumor

The idea behind the whole re-branding we've seen the past few years is to push it to that state.

They have a funny way of going about that then with all the blue/grey uniforms and now this alleged black helmet. They are consistent only in the their inconsistency.

I really like the subtle gold outline, and to be honest the navy on navy look is pretty sweet, however if it's done more than once a year it's off brand. I do prefer the amount of gold in last year's unis better, but wasn't a big fan of the stinger stripes or the YJ patterning (good idea, but one that just doesn't really work as well as it sounds).

I actually also don't mind the idea of those anthracite gray uniforms for us. It's read to the eye as a neutral, especially since so many other teams do it. It's an opportunity actually to highlight our primary colors since on that background you can outline the gold with white and have it add to the contrast and avoid any navy whatsoever. This is where the new unis give me hope. With the gold outlining, maybe we can get sufficient contrast against white to avoid a navy outline and still have things readable. Otherwise it's near impossible not to overuse the navy.

First of all it’s hilarious that there are this many posts about something that’s clearly made up. Second a white and gold uni without the logo doesn’t say Georgia Tech to anyone who isn’t a Tech fan.

I mean, I don’t agree that the G/W/G is not an iconic look— I think it is. And I love it. And it will continue to be our primary look. But I also love innovations and experiments. One can enjoy all the above, and our team can represent tradition and innovation at the same time.

I still say it is clearly black and looks totally different from that shown on the link. Regardless, however, I hope we never see the all blue uniform from the bowl game again. It was hideous.

Those are iconic because they look the same as they did 50+ years ago. We have had some nice looking uni's at times but for whatever reason can't seem to leave well enough alone. What's worse, as we tinker from year to year we have had some really putrid looks (i.e honeycombs, various shades of yellow and gold, etc.) Pick something classic and leave it alone except for the occasional one off uni that the kids like.We are looking for something that has been under our noses all along.

If the contrast of the of trash can or floor was off then i would agree, but this some type of Charcoal blue mix

I white balanced the image. It was taken indoors and fluorescent lights wreak havoc with photo colors unless they are white balanced. While not a true Navy Blue, it's not grey. You can also see the Gold in the number looks more familiar as well.

Well it's probably a blackwatch helmet for the team, black stripe down the center, words black watch on the back black outlined white GT.

Adidas loves these kind of traditional uniforms. It will probably be paired with a 80s throwback black and gold jersey
