medicals rs's are only assessed and granted at the end of one's college eligibility.Griffin will probably get medical redshirt this year, I hope
Shaq starting for the Pats blows away all the negative recruiting stereotypes.I feel like our offense in the recruiting realm has turned the corner on OL Recruiting. HS OL recruits love it because most want to hit the out of the DL/LB in front of them. Its very attractive to them and more HS offensive linemen are starting to notice and I believe it will become the norm. O-line U.
And in 2 years Shamire could be the veteran leader of that line, and Freddie Burden might still be around if he can get a medical redshirt. We look to be building up a very solid OL pipeline! We will feel the loss of Mason. A year later and he's starting for the New England Patriots. That's simply not replaceable.
Speaking of the Patriots, its their ability to draft, finding guys like Mason in the 4th round, that has built their dynasty.
I'm excited for the future of the o-line. In the 2-3 years when the line is manned by the likes of Will Bryan and Parker Braun, I think we will unleash a level of nasty we haven't yet seen. And that's saying something.
