I think he means as their new head coach. If that's the case, then I would guess Venables would make the jump.

I'm not so sure being Clemson's DC @ $1MM per year isn't a better job than being the head coach at UT. UT's expectations are way too high. Plus, his son is committed to play or is on Clemson's team already.

I don't see where Tennessee fans expecting to win 9-10 games a season in is having too high expectations. I think if UT hires the right head coach they could win 9-10 games a season. The problem for them is not screwing up the coaching search.
