Some questions based on this:

Are they moving the away section? Looks like that's now a TECH Fund area?

What's the Gold Zone? Seats look much cheaper there than the rest of the North end zone. Maybe a way to keep the front of the section full?

Either way, no excuses for fans this year!!

Gold Zone has been there for a long time. It is the North End Zone above the walkway. Don't know about the visiting section, but I assume they have sold at least some tickets in that area before.

How many season tickets does Tech set aside to sell? I'm wanting to say I thought i remember one year we had about 30,000

I don't know how many visiting team tickets GT is required to have, but I don't think they would hesitate to sell every other ticket as a season ticket if there was a demand.

It does look like they changed the away section to a TF area...I like it, they should move the away section to 228/229 & away band in 136. I've been in the Gold Zone for a few years, and it is intended as a way to fill the area behind the walkway of the upper north. The seats were great for the TO, and I'm sure it'll still be fine. It's nice to have the "new" part of the stadium, but dealing with the away fans (especially the last game of odd years) can be difficult, and I swear our concessions have to be slower than the rest of BDS.

It'll be my first season not as a student since I started being a fan in 2011. I'm tempted for the $240 New Alumni sideline tickets, but the Gold Stinger Mobile Pass also sounds appealing. Not sure if I want to commit to one section with the sideline tickets. Anyone have recommendations on section?

Lots of relatively new alumni in section 101. I'd say to go there if you have a group of friends in the area who are buying seats. If it's just a couple people, Mobile Pass I've heard is a great way to go!

Good to know, thanks. Must have missed it the past couple of years.

I am thinking of buying season tickets this year. Being from out of town I would only be able to make it to 1-3 games a year max.

Would there be any issue if I gave the tickets to the games I can't make to someone else? I was thinking it might help build the fan base if a younger football player could get tickets to the game and go for free. I of course wouldn't want to cause any violations or anything though.
