I really Love Eason and Trey. They are fantastic young men. That being said, they are not back. I feel confident w Jake, Brad and Scott getting into the mix. My friend Shamire, I hope he stays healthy. He is a great young man and has NFL tools. Im happy with the guys we have returning. If a fresh can pick up on the offense and speed at this level and contribute great. If GT can actually redshirt some guys and build upperclass depth like every other team we play even better. We have 2 Sr and 2 Jr on the OL. That has to change.

who is your favorite o-lineman going in to the fall?

I like them all but if I HAD to choose one I would go with Will because he always looks like he means business. Somewhat off topic but I was watching you tube games from last year with a friend who coaches offensive linemen at one of our local high schools. He said that if you were going to make a video of how to block with all the nuances then Parker is your man. He is quote: "Textbook of how it should be done" Make of it what you will but there has to be a reason why he plays more than Shamire who is more than capable himself.

Thanks flea. Well spoken like a parent and someone who knows what he is talking about.

Agree for the most part, but if they keep on graduating and leaving early there is no advantage to redshirt them.

As Flea said I love them all..but if I were to choose the most intriguing it's Marshall at Tackle. Last season and in years past he was arguably one of our best lineman throughout his time here, but was playing behind another great in Freddie Burden. Brings your typical size and athletic ability for a tackle. "Knock on wood" we should have a mauling Oline this year.

That is like asking who is your favorite child.

I think it's more like asking which is your favorite part of your car's engine. You like 'em all the same, have no emotional favorites and never notice them or talk about them 'til they malfunction or don't work properly. The timing belt, the pistons and the alternator all have to do their jobs. But when you talk about your vehicle with your friends, you don't mention them at all. They are just there...doing what they do. But if they quit functioning, all of a sudden your prized vehicle ain't worth a $#@!. That's the same as the OL.

That pretty much sums it up. I recall how much Justin was running for his life in 2015 and then much improved in 2016. I pray that this improvement will continue and this takes a lot of pressure off whoever the quarterback is in the early going. Others more knowledgeable may have differing opinions but I feel that this group will end up being the best of the Johnson era by a pretty wide margin. We will see.

As I think most know, I've been an apologist for Tevin based on our stats from 2011 and 2012.

Still, I think Uzzi and crew, the Goon Squad iirc, also deserve some credit.

I hope this year's OL has great success because that will mean that our DL who had the better of them in the TDay game will be pretty good too.
