Good wrap up on fall baseball... mostly CDH's perspective. As always, he's generally positive. I would expect no less sitting undefeated for 2018. I'm not going back to compare his 'review' with those who saw some fall action live and provided their own perspectives; but my recall is he's pretty consistent with the few who posted here.

Some things I note from the article:
1) I'm a total sucker for this kind of optimism. I'm all in. ...convinced we're going to be better this year.. maybe much better. I know...it's silly to say/think that based on 'results'. However, there are no 2018 results.... yet. .....................

At least I'm consistent...

Funny too... after I posted that the other day, I actually went back to see last year's equivalent story (the one you linked). My definitive analytical conclusion... THIS YEAR is clearly going to be different.

I do believe the talent is there to be a top 20 team; not sure that we have he same amount and type of talent the top 5-10 teams in the nation do, but I feel in baseball it’s not always about talent. Sounds like a broken record, but it’s gonna come down to pitching and overall health. I don’t know that we have enough depth to suffer any injuries to our key guys and still be a really good team. As for pitching, it’s time for that junior class to step up and be consistent for us.

My ranking of the key factors which will determine if we have a very good season or not (things that concern me from most worrisome to least worrisome for this team specifically):
1. Pitching
2. Health
3. Defense
4. Coaching
5. Hitting
6. Baserunning
