Does anyone know about x-fer QBs success rate

Does anyone know recent history about transfer QBs and success rate?

My general feel is that transfers in general don't seem to work out all that often. But feel is not facts and data.

Anyone?

Not sure you mean transfer into Tech only two I remember
1) AJ Suggs from Tennessee did not work out great for him
2) John Dewberry from uga worked out fine for Tech

But I cheated.

For the most part they don't pan out. From the looks of it there are dozens upon dozens each year.

• Pitt has a transfer from USC (who was beat out), but may be the most talented passer that the Pitt OC has had in a while
• UNC has a transfer from LSU who lost his job due to inconstancy, but "may be better in a spread offense"
• VT has a Nebraska to Iowa Western Community College transfer in competition with a red shirt freshman (keep in mind their 2016 QB was a transfer and keep further in mind the new QB will not have the same supporting cast in 2017 - think JT in 2015)

-Miami has a co-leader QB situation and a "future" star freshman incoming
-Tennessee has a Junior (pocket passer versus last year read option) and red shirt freshman fighting it out
-Clemson has a 4 way battle
-Duke, Virginia, Georgia and assuming WF Return their QBs

All this is off the top of my head...
Peterman from Pitt (loved the urban sombrero from his catalog) was a transfer. Jacoby Brissett at NC State was a transfer. Peterman was a Vol and Brissett was one of many ex-Florida QBs. Florida had a Purdue transfer at QB last year, I believe.
Georgia started last year with Lambert, the UVa transfer. Didn't UVa also once have one of the Sims to transfer from Alabama a few years ago?
FSU had Everett Golson from Notre Dame, IIRC and Florida is getting ex-Golden Domer Malik Zaire.
Cam had been at UF, then went JUCO, then to Auburn. Auburn's QB this year is Jarret Stidham out of Baylor. The university, not the hoity toity prep school in Chattanooga.
Kenny Hill transferred out of A&M to ... one of the other Texas schools. It escapes my mind if it was Texas Tech or TCU.
BC's qb last year was former Kentucky qb Patrick Towles.
Frankly, I think it's kind of a mixed bag of an effect and I think skews more to the not as much of the desired effect end of the spectrum.

I forgot about Oregon having gotten Vernon Adams out of Eastern Washington a couple of years ago. And isn't Baker Mayfield at Oklahoma a transfer?
