Well we've been on probation numerous times for impermissable benefits, students selling gear, going to strip clubs, taking flights to a boosters house. And as we know, we've lost a few guys because they couldnt pass a damn piss test... I'd say its similar. We just havent had any DUI or drug related arrests. Yet.

We've had DUI's. One of our players got busted for drinking and boating a while back.

Ummmm do you remember Reuben Houston. That was a big time black eye. He sued the school to be allowed to play after being suspended for conspiring to sell 94 pounds of weed. He eventually pled out.

We really don’t have any room to look down our nose at anyone for having thug athletes. We have a ton of SA. We are going to get out fair share of druggies and sociopaths. Can’t avoid it. It is simple statistics. We can stop acting holier than thou.

Over the years, it should be noticed, that any "holier than thou Tech men" attitudes are displayed in proportion to season records. The worse the season record - the more "at least our players blah blah blah". And vice versa.

Every school has some S/As that are a problem. I believe most kids at most schools are ok folks. Yes, more so at certain places, but most at most schools.

I suppose that is why we have laws, rules, regs, courts, running steps, curfews, etc.

For the unfortunate few.

There needs to be an intervention program for kids that are showing signs of addiction. They need to be coerced into entering a rehab program without losing eligibility. If they don't then off the team.
