Not going to happen. I read somewhere that Monken was making in the low 200k's at GSU and Bobo is making close to 600k at UGA. That would be a heck of a pay cut.

most coaches "base" salary is really low. it's the athletic association, TV, meet/greet fees, and bonus structure that boost the base. richt's state paid salary at UGA is around $400k. CPJ's salary is somewhere around $330k, i believe. CJM was making between $400-500k all total. now that southern's moving to FBS they also realize they'll have to pony up some more money for a coach. wouldn't be shocked to see a total pay package north of $600k for whoever they bring in. pay-wise, it'd be a lateral move for bobo. still don't want him anywhere near southern!

The Auburn meltdown would be epic. Especially if he wins the title and then leaves. Still hoping Texas takes Mark Richt. Would be okay with Golden leaving as well.

No chance IMHO. Too many viable candidates who are linked in some way to Paterno (yeah that still matters to them if you believe interweb rumors) for Roof to get any consideration.

Golden is going to Penn St. Really sucks, he was never going to do anything in Miami, lets just hope they botch this hire like they did with the Golden hire.

Why? PennSt probably pays more, cost of living lower to offset the whole no state tax thing in FL and he played for Paterno.
