I'm not used to saying this--at least, it's been a while-- but our offensive numbers have been better than Clemson's this year.
Defense is another story. Clemson has a legit top 10 defense. Ours is well below average, though it's been better lately.

If you look at the stats, vs the record, Clemson is a top 25 team. They find ways to lose this year. Maybe they're the mirror of UNC--pedestrian offense and great defense, where UNC is great offense and pedestrian defense. By F+ (SP+ & FEI), their offense is a little worse than our offense, and their defense is in a different league than ours.

Clemson is reportedly a run-oriented team, but they're not great at either running or passing. Defensively, they're great at defending both.
Big issue for us: their pass defense is great.
What are they going to try to do? Take away our passing game and make us one-dimensional, just like they did to Notre Dame. I'm sure they want to pick off passes like crazy, and they have ball hawks in the secondary.

It'll be interesting to see what our offensive coaches come up with.

It’ll take clean special teams play and a couple breaks to go our way to pull this one off.

Top thirty offense vs #76 in epa per play is wild.

Is the reason we have so many fewer plays because defense can’t get off the field?

Our offense is very explosive so we have many drives with few plays because the drive ends in a 60 yard TD pass.

Clemson doesn’t do that very often.

TO's above all else is what I will be watching.

Part of the reason Clemson has struggled scoring is that their offense has turned it over a fair bit. On the season they have 17 TO and their opponents have 15. They are really good at shooting themselves in the foot.

I'll also be watching the line play. Clemson's DLine is the best we will face, with the possible exception of UGA. If our OL can hold up that will be a big sign of improvement.
On the flip side Clemson's OL is average (below average if you ask Clemson fans) - so can GT's DL get pressure. If it can then Klubnik and Shipley have both had TO issues this year.

I'm also hopeful that their desire to run the ball against ND is just a one game thing for them. That has not really been their MO this year. Mufah is the kind of back that has given us problems all year.

Looking forward to the game and hoping we come out with our 6th win.
