I'll reference the 2015 MLB draft, without mentioning the great catchers we've had before then or now.

Tyler Stephenson drafted 1-11 by the Reds. Never made it to the flats. Currently on the Reds roster, and has been one of their top prospects since signing out of high school.

Joey Bart drafted 27-808 by the Rays. Had a great career on the flats and was drafted 1-2 in the 2018 draft. One of the top prospects in baseball today, learning under a legendary catcher in Buster Posey from FSU. Joey has the opportunity to reach and/or surpass the heights of Varitek and Wieters, but it won't be easy.

Last High School event this Sunday 6/20 at 1pm CT.
Pretty sweet he got ELITE team All State All Stars. Huge honor. He's put in the work, that's for sure. He deserves it for sure. His stats were ridiculous this season; on the mound and at the plate.
We head that way Sunday night to eat into the drive. Rooming with Luke Waddell in Dalton's old room.


Really fun to see him pitch at Dell Diamond. He had a good time and was really neat to see/hear kids names we've known and played with/against since 8U & 9U.


Christian broke sooo many HS records (and with only 3 years). 4 years Varsity but only 17 games in 2020 due to Covid.
He halved the previous ERA All time record and almost doubled the number of SOs (in 3 years).
We would have more than easily tripled SOs and some other records. Super proud of him, his work, and his perseverance.
Can't wait to see him on the Bump at GT!!

18u WWBA next weekend (at EC), Firecracker Classic July 4th Weekend (at EC), Hoover Championship July 15th weekend all with 18U East Cobb Astros.
