After the trade was announced for Sale, a Red Sox buddy of mine who loves to trash on the Braves was gloating about how the Sox just fleeced the Braves and overwhelmingly won this trade. I told him that AA makes trades for a reason and not to get ahead of himself. Looks like, again, AA knew what he was doing as Grissom ended up being the one injured for a large part of the year.
Yeah, but we’ll be holding our collective breath every time he pitches, especially since he missed his critical last start last season.

This is true but I hope @Golden Tornadoes was able to give his bud the double-bird fingers anyway.

Our rotation as it stands will be a hold-your-breath group next season.
Sale - is he back or is he sliding down the inevitable slippery slope?
Strider - can he overcome a second TJ surgery?
Lopez - can he do it two years IAR?
Schwells - can he overcome the sophomore jinx?
Anderson, Elder, AS-S, and others - can any of them make the step up?

TBH, this staff is a could be a 10 or could be a 1, depending. Chances are we hit on at least 50% and have a fairly solid 3-man rotation with fill-ins around the edges. Fried wouldn't really change that as he has durability questions as well, but it would be one more fish in the pan.

Who knows? It's been theorized but AA has also talked publicly about replacing MF and CM. It's not like he would change the dynamic of that rotation. He's further down the slope than Sale is. Ha!
Don't forget to throw in Canning as well as a 6th starter/long reliever type IMO. I don't think CM is coming back but if he does, it can't be for $20M. I've also heard the Braves are kicking the rocks on a possible Jordan Montgomery trade as well as them supposedly being in the mix for Crochet.

And Eovaldi from what we heard a week or so ago.

Talk to me about this Sasaki guy.
Go watch the World Baseball Classic from 2023. Dude was lights out for Japan pitching with Ohtani and Yamamoto. He also threw a no-no at 18 in the NPB (Japan's version of the MLB). He has really strong stuff, but I doubt we get him.

Word on the street is Cody Bellinger is on the trading block. Wouldn't mind getting him, but then you have to figure out how to play him when Acuna comes back.

Trading block? Who would we offer? Ozuna, and move Acuna to DH?

What? Do my own legwork? Why do that when I have the eggsperts like you and the venerable @stinger78 on tap?

Atlanta Braves’ Drake Baldwin was named the #15 prospect of the top 30 from the Arizona Fall League. There are 5 others from the NL east, so 6 of the 30 are in our division.
