I've had that back pain with spinal stenosis and pain down my leg, worst, longest time of severe pain I ever had, good news is back surgery corrected mine. Randy Rhino helped me through the decision process which I will be forever grateful to him for his help. I was basically an invalid for approx a year, is correctable, good decision to hang 'em up IMO.

I don't know if that is what I had, although the symptoms you described sure sound the same, but I had surgery in March to shave off part of a lower disk in my spine. Although complete resolution of the problem took another 3 months of chronic pain, I am finally back to normal. Although not an invalid, I was severely incapacitated for 6 months.

Great family. Went through a lot this past year.
I couldnt ever get him to stop saying sir. Its was always " good to see you sir, yes sir, no sir, thank you sir. Same for the other 2.
After the game we all knew to eat quickly at the tailgate before they showed up. His parents bought the giant bojangles and saved a bunch for them - gone in an instant.

I have had a herniated disk for years and reinjured it playing in a golf tournament. It was the worst pain I have ever had. A lineman needs that strength in his lower back for leverage. He will probably need surgery at some point. Even going to class and sitting to study will be painful. I wish him well and sounds like a really great kid.

Damn shame. Great Jacket. Best of luck Brad!

Note: You just know our guys are going to be successful in whatever they do. That’s the gold lining in this black cloud.

Sitting and lying flat on my back was the only thing that helped me. Just standing still was excruciating.

This is too bad. I always pulled for The Twins. Now I'll only have Scott and the little (6'4" 310) brother.

However, this isn't about me. Brad made the right decision for his future. The main thing is that back problems are getting more and more treatable these days. He has the advantage (?) of being young; most back problems show up as you age. There's every reason to think that he can be treated successfully and fully recover.

So … listen to your doctors and have a great future, Brad! Thanks for all your efforts for our team!

Yours sounds like disc and mine was narrowing of the inside of spinal column, I was bed ridden because it was the only way I could relieve some of the pain, standing for 6 minutes and i would be screaming. I was bed ridden for at least 3+ mos after surgery and somewhat for approx another 3 mos as it slowly relieved itself when room was made for the spinal cord. Bed ridden 6 mos prior to surgery.
Have no idea what the cause of Brad's pain, but I'm guessing the doctors know. He's in my prayers for relief and full recovery. Not any fun as you are well aware.

WOW I was never bedridden, thank God. Mine was punched nerves (plural) due to a swollen or inflamed disk. The surgeon cut of two parts of the disk. I was walking the next day and driving the following week. I did have one lingering problem with an inflamed nerve in my butt causing shooting pains in my legs for 3 months. But the combination of time and nerve pills finally took care of that. I had my final post-op today, and I am 100% again and no need for any more pills of PT.
