Highest ranked one not participating in the playoffs. We were set to face Michigan State in 2014 until Miss State magically jumped them when both were idle during championship weekend. How do they decide between the sec and big ten for the orange bowl?
9-3 Coastal champs having to make a case against a 10-2 team.....Orange Bowl seems like a really difficult destination unless we win the ACC. We'd have to tear through our schedule to end the season ranked highest out of the pair from Clemson, FSU, and Louisville that didn't win the Atlantic. Now that doesn't mean we couldn't get to the Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, or Peach Bowl...but honestly this is a tall order...especially now that we only play 11 games. I know that shouldn't count against us, but if we end at 9-3 with a loss in the ACCCG, that 9-3 looks a lot worse tot eh committee than the teams sitting at 10-2 would.
If GT wins less than 8 it will be a disappointment. So, worst case.... End of regular season. We're 5-6 and the UCF game could of made us bowl eligible. Do we still get a bowl? Just curious as to what the thoughts are. Hypothetical of course. I sure hope we win more than 5.
Oh, I agree. Just one of those worst case type things. If GT wins less than 8 it will be a disappointment.
Do you think GT could be going to the Camping World Bowl if they go 8-3?Oh, I agree. Just one of those worst case type things.
It depends. I think a 9-3 UM or FSU gets the nod, ahead of a 8-3 GT. Too early to tell.Do you think GT could be going to the Camping World Bowl if they go 8-3?
The Taxslayer Bowl would be a possibility also.It depends. I think a 9-3 UM or FSU gets the nod, ahead of a 8-3 GT. Too early to tell.
If we can't win 5 more game for the rest of the season we don't deserve a bowl game lol.So, worst case.... End of regular season. We're 5-6 and the UCF game could of made us bowl eligible. But the Jax St game actually doesn't count towards a bowl does it?
